I am enjoying the Sanyo SK-CV8S convection toaster oven. I got it for Christmas, and have been using it for everything. I don't heat up the range oven. It makes perfect toast--but you must not follow their directions of oven placement. It works well with the rack in the middle--the level 5.
One thing I like about it is you can set it and forget it. Obviously, I watch my toast, as it can vary with the moisture in the bread. It made perfect English muffins when I set the toaster on the lowest setting.
When I bake, however, I can place the food in the oven and choose bake or convection setting, the temperature and time, and forget it. It beeps when the pre-heat ends and the baking begins. I do watch that the food does not over-cook. The nice thing is it beeps when it is done. I can always choose to bake it longer simply by selecting the mode again and the time.
I had to learn that the stop button does not immediately change to the clock. You have to set the time and temperature by pushing the up or down button. The temperature stops at 5 degree intervals, and the time goes quickly. I really like my new oven!
